I painted a musical staff across my face to show my love for music and a few of my favorite bands.  The staff also represents composition, my band, and my love for playing music as well. The spider web represents this feeling of being trapped by the many expectations I am pushed to live up to.  The flowers represent the beauty and serenity I seek in life in order to put all the other chaos aside.  The flowers sort of contrast the purple leopard spots which represent my adventurous, “wild” side.  I also painted a black lace veil to show how at times I don’t think people see the real me. Our Lady of Sorrows is a religious figure in Catholicism.  I am not very religious, but I painted it to represent my gender and this personality trait I have to take on everyone’s burdens.  I think that her image is so beautiful but her heart has to suffer so much pain. 

Я изобразила нотную запись на  маске, чтобы показать свою любовь к музыке  и моим любимым группам. Паутина показывает, что я запуталась в возложенных на меня ожиданиях, которые я должна оправдать. Цветы символизируют красоту и чистоту, которые я ищу в жизни, чтобы отбросить всё лишнее. С цветами контрастируют фиолетовые леопардовые пятна. Они говорят о моей безрассудной, «дикой» стороне. Я также нарисовала чёрную кружевную вуаль, чтобы показать, что иногда  люди не видят моё настоящее «Я». Матерь Скорбящая – широко почитаемый образ в католицизме. Я не очень религиозна, но я выбрала её  как символ женского начала и служения людям. Её образ прекрасен, но сердце полно страданий.
